Once upon a time, there was a very curious girl. Her name was Pandora and she was

curious about everything you can imagine.

More than anything else, she was curious about the room at the end of the long, dark corridor.

She had been told a MILLION times that she must NEVER, EVER go there... but she really was a very curious girl.

Is this the SCARIEST story ever told? Are you BRAVE enough to read it? Are you like Pandora... just a little bit curious? Go on... Open the book... You know you want to!

Pandora is based on the ancient Greek myth of Pandora's Box. Beautifully illustrated by award-winning author and illustrator, Shoo Rayner, Pandora tells the story of a feisty young girl, who is curious to know everything there is to know about the world and the Universe beyond. But she has been told a million times that she must never go into the room at the end of the long, dark corridor.

What will she find? What will be the lessons learned?

The dreamy, lyrical quality of the text leads us, and Pandora, to the door at the end of the long, dark corridor. Will she enter? What will she find? Will you ever be able to sleep again after reading this book at bedtime?

Is this, like the story of Pandora's box that inspired it, the scariest picture book of all time?

Shoo Rayner is the author of over 200 books for children. He has also illustrated over 100 books for other famous authors such as Sir Michael Morpurgo, Rose Impey, Michael Rosen and others. Shoo also runs an award-winning YouTube channel, shooraynerdrawing, where he teaches drawing skills.
