**SHANA COREY *is the author of several critically acclaimed picture books, among them Here Come the Girl Scouts!*, a New York Times Editors' Choice; You Forgot Your Skirt, Amelia Bloomer, which received three starred reviews; and The Secret Subway, which also received three starred reviews and which Kirkus Reviews called "absolutely wonderful in every way." Shana's books have been named New York Times and Booklist Editors' Choices, School Library Journal and Publishers Weekly Best Books, Notable Social Studies Trade Books, and National Science Teachers Association Best STEM Books, and are on multiple state award lists.
