He has worked on books in the Rough Guides series on Switzerland, Germany and Syria and has previously written about the Lake Geneva region in his cultural guide to the Alps, published by Signal Books; his other books for Signal are cultural guides to the Scottish Highlands, the River Danube, Cairo and Prague, and he has also written a walking guide to the Swiss region of Ticino for Cicerone Press. Home (when he's not travelling) is in Southeast London.
