Robert served for seven years as a Flight Lieutenant with a Permanent Commission in the RAAF. He taught aircrew at the Central Flying School and the School of Air Navigation, including the first weapons systems course in Australia. He was a project manager in Technical and Further Education for 25 years and he has published internationally in the US.
