The CELTA Course Trainee Book and Trainer's Manual have been updated to reflect recent changes in the CELTA course, and is the only CELTA preparation course endorsed by Cambridge ESOL. The books provide full coverage of the CELTA syllabus, and are appropriate as a ready-to-use course or as a complete and accessible resource to complement CELTA-course delivery. Comprised of 40 practical units, which come under five user-friendly sections: Learners and teachers, and the teaching and learning context; Language analysis and awareness; Language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing; Planning and resources for different teaching contexts and Developing teaching skills and professionalism. The book also provides a guide to teaching practice, observation tasks, a guide to assignments, a glossary and further reading. The Trainer's Manual suggests how to best use the material with trainees, along with advice on how to prepare trainees for teaching practice, lesson observations, written assessment and tutorials.
