Six months after diagnosis, Joel joined the private Face Book Community "Patients Living with Stage IV Renal Cancer" that now has over 2,600 Members. This tightly knit group of Warriors, including loved ones, share their triumphs and challenges in dealing with this disease. For the past 18 months, Joel has written weekly Thankful Friday Posts and shared with this group. He started writing these posts for two reasons. First, to give other Warriors hope, purpose, optimism, and strength so they could meet head on this disease. Second, he realized that by sharing his innermost thoughts with this group, it would give him purpose, optimism, and strength to fight and win his personal war against Stage IV Renal Cancer. This book compiles over 18 months of Thankful Friday posts, some of which have been slightly edited. He hopes his posts are not only valuable to those with Renal Cell Cancer, but beneficial to those suffering life changing challenges regardless of cause. All profits from this book with go to either the Kidney Cancer Association or the Judy Nicholson Kidney Cancer Foundation.
