His poems explore the themes of love, the celebration of wine, and exposing the hypocrisy of those who hold themselves out as examples of moral rectitude. This collection includes a selection of forty-three poems translated by Gertrude Lowthian Bell and an introduction to Hafiz and his poems by the translator.
