Christopher Yost got his start in animation writing for the series X-Men: Evolution; he quickly worked his way up to head writer of shows like Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, Iron Man: Armored Adventures and Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and the animated DVDs Hulk Vs. and Next Avengers. Yost broke into comics with his work on X-23 and is known for hard-hitting series like New X-Men, X-Force and the runaway hit Scarlet Spider. Dan Slott has built a loyal fan base by combining old-school fun with stories and characterizations friendly to new readers. Following his run on She-Hulk, Slott moved into the upper echelon of Marvel writers, launching Avengers: The Initiative and taking the reins on Mighty Avengers from Brian Michael Bendis. When Marvel gave Spider-Man a fresh start in 2008, Slott was one of several rotating writers on the thrice-monthly Amazing Spider-Man. Slott became the writer most closely identified with the web-slinger's "Brand New Day" era, and the title hit the "Big Time" when he took over as full-time writer for a decade-long run. Slott has also turned his talents to other iconic Marvel heroes -- including soaring the spaceways with Silver Surfer; helming Tony Stark: Iron Man toward Iron Man 2020; and masterminding the glorious return of Fantastic Four, leading to his long-awaited "Reckoning War." In 2022, Slott made his way back to the Spider-Verse, teaming with legendary penciler Mark Bagley on Spider-Man and introducing the sidekick sensation Spider-Boy. Paco Medina has illustrated a range of Marvel Comics -- including New X-Men: Academy X, Captain Marvel, Thor, Venom, Marvel Team-Up, New Mutants and New Warriors, as well as relaunches of Deadpool and X-Men. Firmly established as a Marvel mainstay, Medina has enjoyed lengthy runs on Ultimate Comics X-Men, Nova and Legendary Star-Lord, as well as a major role in the Avengers storyline "No Surrender." Marco Checchetto's early contributions to revivals of Marvel Comics Presents and Squadron Supreme revealed him as one of the industry's top new talents. Checchetto has made his mark on both the Marvel Universe -- with runs on Amazing Spider-Man, Daredevil and Punisher -- and a galaxy far far away with Star Wars: Obi-Wan and Anakin and the post-Return of the Jedi thriller Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens -- Shattered Empire. Spanish artist David Lopez has penciled New Avengers: The Reunion and its followup, Hawkeye & Mockingbird. In Mystic, he helped bring to life a story of epic high fantasy set against a backdrop of impending civil war. At DC, he has provided artwork for Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight and Catwoman, and co-created Fallen Angel with writer Peter David. In addition to his collaboration with Kelly Sue DeConnick on Captain Marvel, Lopez's Marvel credits include All-New Wolverine, New Mutants and X-Men.
