*Brontë, Anne: * - Anne Brontë, born on January 17, 1820, in Thornton, West Yorkshire, was the youngest of the Brontë literary siblings. After her mother's death in 1821, Anne and her family moved to Haworth, where the surrounding moors deeply influenced their creative imaginations. Alongside her sisters, Charlotte and Emily, Anne initially published poetry under the pseudonym "Acton Bell" to conceal her gender.Drawing from her experiences as a governess, Anne wrote her debut novel, Agnes Grey, which offers a realistic portrayal of the challenges faced by a governess in Victorian England. Her second novel, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, is notable for its bold exploration of themes such as women's independence and critiques of societal norms. This work is often regarded as one of the first feminist novels, highlighting Anne's progressive views.Tragically, Anne's life was cut short when she died of tuberculosis on May 28, 1849, in Scarborough, at the age of 29. Despite her brief life, her literary contributions have left a lasting impact, and she is remembered for her insightful and courageous storytelling. Today, Anne Brontë's works continue to be celebrated for their depth and ahead-of-their-time perspectives.
